Hello! I’m Tia,

I am dedicated to supporting individuals aged 5 and up on their journey towards personal growth and emotional well-being through an empathetic and authentic approach.

I recently earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. I started my clinical practicum at MGTW as an intern in June of 2024 and have stayed on as a full-time therapist after my graduation. Prior to starting at MGTW, I earned my Bachelors in Social Work and spent over four years as a school social worker, where I worked with children, teens, and families to develop essential social-emotional skills.

My experience has given me a deep understanding of the diverse challenges faced by young people and their families, which informs my therapeutic approach. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients of all ages feel valued and heard. My approach is rooted in empathy and guided by evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness techniques. These tools enable me to offer tailored support for issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions.

In addition to working with younger populations, I also find great fulfillment in supporting adults. I am passionate about helping clients navigate life’s complexities and achieve their personal goals. My approach emphasizes collaboration and empowerment, aiming to help each individual develop the skills and insights needed to enhance their well-being and resilience.

I’m excited to walk alongside you in your journey towards healing and well-being! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to schedule a consultation or learn more about how therapy can support you.
