Hello! I’m Tia,

MGTW’s Clinical Intern. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. My position as an intern grants me a unique perspective, allowing me to learn and grow alongside our clients.

I have always been passionate about helping others navigate life's challenges and explore personal growth. This passion led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from UMD and launch my career as a K-12 school social worker in the Duluth area. Throughout my four years in the school system, I worked closely with children and their families to develop skills that contributed to successful learning.

I believe in creating a space of trust and acceptance where clients can explore their feelings and thoughts without judgment. Whether you’re grappling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or just looking for someone to listen, I’m here to provide compassion and guidance. Under the mentorship of skilled clinicians, I am continuing to develop my skills in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based skills.

I’m excited to grow alongside you on your journey towards healing and well-being! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to schedule a consultation or learn more about how therapy can support you.
