Nice to Meet You, I'm Maia!

I am dedicated to helping individuals ages 6 and up navigate life's challenges with compassion and purpose. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and I work to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in May of 2025. I began my time at MGTW as a clinical intern in September 2024 and transitioned into a full-time therapist role following graduation. Prior to this, I worked in case management for over a year and a half, working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. This work supports actions to meet their basic needs while still maintaining a professional but open and safe environment. Additionally, I have experience connecting unhoused individuals with housing, food, and clothing resources and providing them with safe spaces or shelters.

I am passionate about helping others through their challenges and allowing them to explore techniques that are beneficial for them. I am dedicated to meeting individuals where they are at and working with them to grow from there. I would describe myself as gentle, empathetic, and passionate, and hope that this will be seen in my work with clients.
